Abstract: The article discusses the importance of knowledge sharing in multinational corporations. Knowledge is defined as the firm’s practices, processes, ideas and its underlying technologies. Research was conducted to determine how companies, despite knowing the importance of knowledge sharing, fail to do it. Findings revealed that the concept of knowledge sharing is not a priority for other firms. The implications for managing knowledge in multinational corporations are explored. The domination of Nokia in the mobile handset business is also discussed.
